小学生におすすめな英語絵本シリーズ、リトル・クリッターから「The New Potty」ちいさな妹のおむつ離れのお話です。
トイレを覚えたばかりの妹の行動がクスッと笑えます。
うちはひとりっ子なので経験ありませんが、お兄ちゃんお姉ちゃんになると下の子のおむつ離れを経験することになりますよね。

慣れないうちは妹もトイレに「座ろうとしない..だろう」、とリトルクリッターお兄ちゃん。

wouldは学校の英語では、Willの過去形と覚えると思いますが、口語的に確率の低いことを伝えるときにもよく使われます。

I have underpants with skateboards on them.

My little sister is still a baby.

She wears diapers.

I like to play with my sister.

But sometimes she smells funny and Mom has to change her diapers.

The next time my little sister went to the potty, she did it just right.

We were proud of her.

Now that my littlesister can use the potty, Mom and dad say she is a big girl.
