英語絵本「Swapsies」の読み聞かせです。
Swapは「交換する」なのでタイトルのSwapsiesは交換し合う者たちのような感じかなと思います。
お気に入りのおもちゃで遊んでいたら、お友達の持っているおもちゃも気になってしまいました。交換を提案してそれぞれのおもちゃをシェアしあうというお話し。
Fang loves sock.
ファングは靴下が大好きです。
Sock is yellow.
靴下は黄色です。
Sock is stripey .
靴下はストライプです。
Sock is squeezy.
靴下が圧迫されています。
Socks smells like bananas.
靴下はバナナのような香りがします。
Sock is amazing.
靴下は素晴らしいです。
“I love you Sock,” says Fang.
「あなたの靴下が大好きです」とファングは言います。
But look! here comes Philip.
でも、見てください！ ここにフィリップが来ます。
Philip has his favorite toy with him too.
フィリップは彼のお気に入りのおもちゃも持っています。
Train is red.
電車は赤です。
Train is shiny.
電車は光沢があります。
Train is honky.
電車は古めかしい。
Train smells like tomatoes.
電車はトマトのようなにおいがする。
Train is magnificent.
電車は素晴らしいです。
“Train looks like lots of fun to play with,” says Fang.
「電車は遊ぶのがとても楽しいように見えます」とファングは言います。
“Much more fun than sock.”
「その靴下よりずっと楽しい」
“Swapsies?” suggests Fang.
「交換？」ファングは提案した。
“Yes please!” says Phillip, because Phillip is very good at sharing.
「はい お願いします！」とフィリップは言った。なぜならフィリップは共有が得意だから。
“I love you Train,” says Fang.
「私はあなたの電車が大好きです」とファングは言った。
But look!
でも、見て！
Here comes Simon.
ここにサイモンが来る。
Simon has his favorite toy with him too.
サイモンは彼のお気に入りのおもちゃも持っています。
Ball is blue
ボールは青い。
Ball is round.
ボールは丸いです。
Ball is bouncy.
ボールは弾む。
Ball smells like chocolate chip cookies.
ボールはチョコレートチップクッキーのように匂いがする。
Ball is spectacular.
ボールは壮観です。
“Ball looks very fun to play with,” says Fang.
「ボールはとても楽しそうです」とファングは言います。
“Even more fun than Train and sack.”
「電車や靴下よりもっと楽しい」
“Swapsies?” suggests Fang.
「交換する？」ファングが提案する。
“Okay!” say Simon, because Simon would really like to play with Train.
「いいよ！」とサイモンは言った。なぜならサイモンは本当に電車で遊ぶのが好きでした。
“I love you ball.” say Fang.
「ボールが大好きです」 ファングは言う。
You are the most spectacular toy in the whole wide…”
あなたは全体の中で最も壮観なおもちゃです…」
Fang is missing Ball.
ファングはボールを見失った。
But he’s really missing Suck.
しかし彼は本当に靴下を見失った。
But look! Here comes Philip,
しかし見て！フィリップがやってきた。
and here comes Simon.
そしてサイモンがやってきた。
Simon still has Train,
サイモンはまだ電車を持っていた。
and Philip still has Sock!
そしてフィリップは靴下を持っていた！
“What happened to Ball?” asks Simon.
「ボールに何があったの？」サイモンが尋ねた。
“Ball is no longer with us.” says Fang.
「ボールは長く私といなかった」とファング。
“But look!” he say.
「しかし見て！」彼は言った。
“I found Stick.
「私は棒を見つけた。
Stick is brown and smells like wet dog.

Stick is fantastic,” he tells Philip.

“Swapsies?” suggests Fang.

“Yes please!” say Philip, because Philip really is very.

Sock and Fang. Fang and Sock, back together, forever and ever.
靴下とファング、ファングと靴下、一緒に戻る、いつまでも。
“I love you sock.” says Fang.

“I will never swap you again, for any other…
私は二度と交換しない 他のなにとも。。
… toy!”
