海に棲むという伝説の人魚を追い求めて冒険をする物語。
人魚捕獲計画を立てる子供たちは、いろいろな方法でわなを仕掛け人魚を捕まえようとします。しかし、人魚のすばしっこさとかしこさにはかないません。
