「Pete the Cat: Out of This World」は、いつもマイペースで前向きなねこのピートが、スペースキャンプで宇宙飛行士体験をして、ついには本物のロケットで月まで行ってしまうというお話です。無重力室でふわふわ浮かんで、探査車に乗って、月面でジェットパックをつけて飛び回る。子どもが「やってみたい！」と感じる体験がぎゅっと詰まっています。

It’s a great day. Pete the Cat is going to Space Camp!素晴らしい日だ。ねこのピートはスペースキャンプに行くんだ！
Pete meets his bunk mate Glenn. As they unpack, there is an announcement. “Welcome, space campers. Please head to the classroom. Your mission begins now.”ピートは同室の仲間のグレンと出会う。荷物をほどいていると、アナウンスが流れる。「スペースキャンパーのみなさん、ようこそ。教室へ向かってください。君たちのミッションは今、始まる」
“Time to suit up,” says Pete. He and Glenn put on their uniforms and race to class.「宇宙服を着る時間だね」とピート。彼とグレンはユニフォームを着て、教室へと急ぐ。
There are so many cool things to do and super neat stuff to see.やるべき格好いいことがたくさんあって、見るべき最高のものがたくさんある。
Astronauts Tom and Chris talk about the trips they’ve taken. And they give a sneak peek at future space trips!宇宙飛行士のトムとクリスが、自分たちがこれまで行ってきた旅について話す。そして、未来の宇宙旅行を先取りして見せてくれるんだ！
“It would be totally rad to go to space,” says Pete.「宇宙に行くなんて、完全に最高だね」とピート。
The campers find out what it feels like to be an astronaut. They go in the zero gravity chamber. They ride in rovers.キャンパーたちは、宇宙飛行士になるのがどんな気分かを知る。無重力室に入る。探査車に乗る。
They even build rockets. Pete’s rocket flies very, very far. “Way to go, Pete,” shouts Glenn.ロケットさえも作る。ピートのロケットはとても、とても遠くまで飛ぶ。「やったね、ピート！」とグレンが叫ぶ。
Next stop is mission control. “We have some exciting news,” says Tom. “Our next flight leaves today. We’re going to the moon…and we have room for more.”次に立ち寄るのは管制室だ。「ワクワクするニュースがあるんだ」とトムが言う。「次の飛行は今日出発する。月へ行くんだ……そして、まだ乗る余裕があるぞ」
“Pete, do you want to go?” asks Sally. “That would be awesome,” says Pete.「ピート、行きたい？」とサリーが尋ねる。「そいつは最高だね」とピート。
It’s time to buckle up and settle into the space capsule. “five…four…three… two… lift off!”シートベルトを締めて、宇宙カプセルに落ち着く時間だ。「５……４……３……２……発射！」
Their ship speeds through space. They blast past a satellite and even spot a comet.彼らの船は宇宙を猛スピードで進む。人工衛星を勢いよく通り過ぎ、彗星さえも見つける。
Tom and Sally have a rock and surprise for Pete, his guitar! He plays a groovy interstellar song for them. Mission control listens in.トムとサリーはピートにロックなサプライズを用意していた。彼のギターだ！彼はみんなのためにイカした星間ソングを演奏する。管制室も耳を傾けている。
In no time at all, they arrive on the moon. They are ready to explore. The astronauts collect rocks and map out the moon’s surface.あっという間に、彼らは月に到着する。探検の準備は万端だ。宇宙飛行士たちは岩石を集め、月の表面の地図を作る。
Pete has a very important job to do. He straps on a jetpack and heads towards Mars! He takes a ton of pictures. Oh no! Pete lost track of time and the moon is far, far away. He has to make it back to the ship before it blasts off.ピートにはとても重要な仕事がある。ジェットパックを背負って、火星へと向かうんだ！写真を山ほど撮る。大変だ！ピートは時間を忘れてしまい、月がはるか遠くに行ってしまった。船が発射してしまう前に、船に戻らなければならない。
Phew! Pete made it back in the nick of time. The astronauts head home. And there’s time for a few more tunes.ふう！ピートは間一髪で戻ってきた。宇宙飛行士たちは家路につく。そして、もう何曲か演奏する時間もある。
