英語絵本「Mouse’s First Spring」の読み聞かせです。
小さなマウス君にとって初めての春のお散歩。お母さんマウスと一緒にお出かけです。春になると暖かさに誘われるようにいろんな動物が顔を見せます。
繰り返しのある英文とやさしいタッチのイラストで小さなお子さんでも楽しめそうな絵本でした。
One windy spring day, Mouse and mama went out to play!
ある風の強い春の日、マウスとママは遊びに出かけました！
There in the grass,
草の中に
Mouse found something glittery and fluttery.
マウスは、きらめいてバタバタする何かを捜し出しました。
What can it be? wondered Mouse.
それは何でしょうか？ 不思議なマウスでした。
“Look!” said Momma.
「みて！」とママ
“A butterfly!”
「ちょうちょ」
Then whoosh! blew the wind, and fluttery buttery the butterfly flew away.
そしてヒューッ！風が吹き、そしてひらひらチョウのようにちょうちょは飛んで行った。
There under a leaf,
葉の下に、
Mouse found something slithery and slimy.
マウスはツルツル滑るヌルヌルの何かを見つけた。
What can it be? wondered mouse.
それは何でしょうか？ 不思議なマウスでした。
“Look!” said Momma.
「みて！」とママ
“A snail!”
[カタツムリ」
Then whoosh! blew the wind, and hidey insidey the snail hid away.
そしてヒューッ！風が吹き、隠れた裏側のカタツムリはどこかに消えてった。
There on a branch,
枝の上で、
Mouse found something feathery and plump.
マウスは羽の生えた丸々としたなにかを見つけた。
What can it be? wondered Mouse.
それは何でしょうか？ 不思議なマウスでした。
“Look!” said Momma.
「みて！」とママ
“A bird!”
「鳥！」
Then whoosh! blew the wind, and dip flip flap the bird darted away.
そしてヒューッ！風が吹き、ちょいとバタバタ飛び去った。
There by the pond,
池のそばで、
Mouse found something green and peeping.
マウスは緑色で覗いている何かを見つけた。
What can it be? wondered Mouse.
それは何でしょうか？ 不思議なマウスでした。
“Look!” said Momma.
「みて！」とママ
”A frog!”
「カエル！」
Then whoosh! blew the wind, and splishy splash the Frog hopped away.
そしてヒューッ！風が吹き、ポチャンと跳ねてカエルは飛び跳ねていきました。
There in the dirt,
土の中、
Mouse found something pink and wiggly.
マウスはピンクの揺れ動く何かを見つけた。
What can it be? wondered Mouse.
それは何でしょうか？ 不思議なマウスでした。
“Look!” said Momma.
「みて！」とママ
”A worm.”
「ミミズ」
Then whoosh! blew the wind, and squiggly squeeze the worm slid away.
そしてヒューッ！風が吹き、くねくねしぼるようにミミズは滑るように離れて行った。
There on a stem,
茎の上で、
Mouse found something sweet and petally.
マウスは甘くて花びらっぽい何かを見つけた。
What can it be? wondered Mouse.
それは何でしょうか？ 不思議なマウスでした。
“Look!” said Momma.
「みて！」とママ
“A flower!”
「花よ！」
Then whoosh! blew the wind, and rumbly bumply Mouse tumbled away!
そしてヒューッ！風が吹き、グルグルっと転がってマウスは転落していった。
Then all around, Mouse felt something soft and cuddly, and oh so cozy.
それからぐるりと、マウスは何か柔らかく抱きしめられるように感じました。そしてとっても心地よい。
What can it be? wondered Mouse.
それは何でしょうか？ 不思議なマウスでした。
Smooch!
チュッ！
came a kiss and oooch!
キスがきた そしてキューッ！
came a hug!
抱きしめられた！
“It’s me!” said Momma.
「わたしよ！」とママは言った。
“Spring is here, little Mouse, and I love you!”
「春が来た、小さいマウス そして愛してるわよ」
