先日の「長靴をはいた猫」に続いて、子供に「今度はどんなお話が良い？」と訪ねたところ、「田舎のネズミと町のネズミ」のお話をリクエストされました。
YouTubeで英語版の田舎のネズミと町のネズミ「The Town Mouse and the Country Mouse」を見つけ、子供と視聴する前に英語の台詞の中から単語や熟語などでわかりにくい部分を抜き出して翻訳しておきました。
観る前に少しでも目を通しておくとよりストーリーに入り込みやすいでしょう。
町に住むねずみにお誘いの手紙を送って招待した田舎のねずみ。田舎風のおもてなしをしたのですが町のねずみの口には合いません。町には大きな家とおいしい食事があるよと誘われ、田舎のネズミは町へでかけることにしました。町にはみたこともない魅力的なものが溢れていましたが、怖い思いをしてしまう・・といったお話です。
