子供と一緒に観られる英語のストーリーアニメの中から今回はThe Three Little Pigs 「3匹の子豚」を選んでみました。

子供と動画を見る前に一通り視聴したところ、英検5級の小学4年くらいだとちょっと難しい単語が現れます。全体的には馴染みのある愉快なお話でアニメも楽しく見られます。知らなさそうな英単語やリスニング力が必要な部分を抜き出し、あらかじめ学習しておくことにしました。そのほうが内容をより理解できるかもしれません。
全訳ではありませんがいつものように下段に部分訳を抜き出してみました。今回は量が多かったのでquizletのフラッシュカードでチェックできるようにしてみます。
quizletは単語などを覚える際に、無料で使えるオンラインのフラッシュカード作成サイトです。ここのフラッシュカードは日本語英語とも音声入りでフラッシュが行えます。
The Three Little Pigsの本編を見る前になんどか繰り返しチェックしておくと物語がより理解できるかもしれません。

The two older pigs were tired from playing all day, and decided to go see what the Third Pig was up to.

The third pig finished his brick house and went out to gather some firewood and food to prepare for winter.
3番目のブタは彼のレンガ・ハウスを終えて、冬に備えるためいくらかの薪と食物を集めに行きました。

The wolf concealed

The two eldest pigs ducked into the straw house.
2匹の年上のブタたちはわら家に飛び込んだ

As the wolf blew on it, the house fell to pieces leaving the pigs unprotected again.

but not a single brick would budge.

But no matter how hard he tried, the house stayed where it was.

The infuriated wolf clambered up to the chimney.
激怒するオオカミは、煙突によじ登りました。
