英語絵本「Countdown to Kindergarten」の読み聞かせです。
初めての幼稚園に通園するまでの10日間、幼稚園生としてのルールに頑張って取り組む様子を絵本で楽しむことができます。いちばんの課題は靴の紐結び。誰の助けも得ずに自分の手でできるように頑張っています。
I am in big trouble.
私は大きな問題を抱えています。
I’m going to kindergarten in ten days.
10日で幼稚園に行きます。

一年生から、そこではたくさんのルールがあると聞いています。
Role number three. You’re not allowed to bring any stuffed animals.
ルールその３。ぬいぐるみの持ち込みはご遠慮ください。

Rule number two. You’re not allowed to bring your cat.
ルールその２。猫を連れてくることはできません。

I know… I’ll pull the laces out imagine what could happen if I left them in…
分かってる… 紐を引っ張り出してみます……もしそのままにしておいたらどうなるか想像してみてください。
It’s all our fault doctor – we made her wear those awful shoelaces !

I guess he hasn’t heard kindergarten rule number one.
幼稚園のルールを聞いてないんだろうな。

I guess she doesn’t know about rule number one either.
