英語で楽しめる絵本のような子供向けアニメ「Spring Has Come!」の動画です。
英語を学び始めの小さいお子さんでも楽しめるやさしいタッチで描かれたお話で、春の訪れを動物たちと一緒に感じられると思います。
ナレーションや会話は英語の字幕が入るのでリスニングとあわせてリーディングのトレーニングにもなりそうです。
One day inside a deep, dark cave,
ある日、深く暗い洞窟の中で、
a gentle wind blew.
優しい風が吹いた。
It wasn’t a bone-chilling winter wind.
骨に冷たい冬の風ではありませんでした。
Rather, it was a light spring breeze.
むしろ、軽い春風でした。
Mr. Bear was curled up deep in the cave.
ミスター・ベアは洞窟の深いところでくるまっていました。
He sniffed and snorted his shiny, black nose.
彼は光沢のある黒い鼻で臭いを嗅ぐ。
“That was a good winter sleep.”
「それは良い冬の睡眠だった。」
“Hmm, it smells like spring is in the air.”
「うーん、空気の中に春のようなにおいがする」
“Wait a minute.
「ちょっと待って、
There aren’t any leaves on the tree branches.
木の枝には葉がありません。
spring must be a ways away then.”
春は向こうの方にあるはずだがなぁ」
Mr. Bear fell back asleep so quickly
くまさんはすぐに眠ってしまった
that he didn’t even notice a butterfly came to visit.
彼は蝶が訪れたことにさえ気付かなかった。
All of the chipmunks were already awake.
すべてのシマリスはすでに目を覚ましていた。
The once frozen stream was flowing again
一度凍った川が再び流れていた
and could be heard by all,
そしてすべてが聞こえてきた、
and the fishes were awake and swimming, too!
そして魚も目を覚まして泳いでいました！
“I feel the warm breeze.
「私は暖かい微風を感じる。
Spring must be here.
春は間違いなくここにある。
Soon enough everything will be green again.”
もうすぐすべてが再び緑になるでしょう。」
Resting rabbits in a hole woke from their winter slumber.
穴の中の休んでいるウサギは、冬の眠りから目が覚めた。
Then, they hippity – hopped out into the open, one by one.
それから、彼らはひとりひとり外に向かって飛び出しました。
“Wow, spring has come! it is so warm now.”
「うわー、春が来ました！今はとても暖かいです」
Baby Raccoon rose from his sleep and met beautiful ladybugs.
赤ちゃんのタヌキが眠りからさめ、美しいかわいいてんとう虫に会った。
“Hey friends! How was your winter nap?”
「おい、お友達！冬の昼寝はどうだった？」
Then he went to Bunny and Chipmunk
その後、彼はうさぎとシマリスに会いに行きました
and said his spring greetings.
そして春の挨拶を言った。
“Hi! Good to see you!
「こんにちは、お会いできてよかったです！
“I wonder if Mr. Bear knows that spring is here.”
「熊はここに春があることが分かっているのだろうか」
Just then the spring butterfly fluttered by and said,
ちょうどその時、春の蝶がひらひらと飛びながら言った、
“You know, I went to his cave, but he was still sleeping.
「ねぇ、私は彼の洞窟に行ったが、彼はまだ眠っていた。
He must think it’s still winter.”
彼はまだ冬だと思っているはずです。」
Well, if that’s the case, let’s go wake him up!”
えーっと、そういう場合は、みんなで彼を起こしに行きましょう！」
“Yay! That’s a great idea!”
「わぁ！それはいい考えだ！」
“Well I’m going to tickle his nose
「じゃあ、わたしは彼の鼻をくすぐるわ
with a fresh spring leaf.”
新鮮な春の葉っぱで」
So, Bunny hopped off to find the freshest and greenest spring leaf.
そこでバニーは新鮮で緑の春の葉を見つけるために飛びさった。
“I’m going to bring Mr. bear some fresh spring seeds.”
「私はくまさんに新鮮な春の種を持ってこよう。」
Baby Chipmunk quickly ran off to find some seeds.
赤ちゃんシマリスはタネを見つけるため急いでかけだした。
I’m going to find all on my friends and bring them along too!
私はすべての友達を見つけて一緒に連れて行くつもりです！
Surely, they’re awake by now.”
確か、彼らは今目覚めている。
And so, the butterfly went on her way.
そしてそれから、チョウはそっちへ向かっていった。
“Oh! Then, I’m going to bring the ladybugs. I just met!”
「ああ、そうしたら、私はテントウムシたちを持っていく、ちょうど会った！」
Pitter patter.
ピチパチ
Raindrops started to fall on the new leaves.
新しい葉に雨滴が落ち始めました。
Bunny found a nice dry spot under a rock.
バニーは岩の下でちょうどよい乾いた場所を見つけました。
She waited there with her soft leaves,
彼女は柔らかい葉と共にそこで待っていましたが、
while baby Chipmunks stood in the rain with his hayseed blowing in the gentle wind.
その間、赤ちゃんシマリスは雨の中、穏やかな風の吹く草原にいた。
“Ahcoo! But, I still like it!
「くしゅん！でも、私はまだそれが好きです！
And, so do the trees.
そして、木もそうです。」
They going to grow nice and tall now!”
彼らは今、すばらしく丈夫に成長します！」
After the rain stopped, a beautiful rainbow appeared in the sky.
雨が止んだ後、美しい虹が空に現れました。
Baby Raccoon set off with the ladybugs to visit Mr. Bear.
赤ん坊のアライグマはテントウムシと出発してクマさんを訪問しました。
Bunny, Baby Chipmunk, and the butterflies were off too.
うさぎと、赤ん坊のシマリス、そしてチョウも出発しました。
But when they arrived, Mr. Bear was nowhere to be found!
しかし彼らが到着すると、クマさんはどこにも見当たりません。
“Huh? That’s strange!
「へぇ？おかしいなー！
Where did he go?”
彼はどこへ行ったんだろう？」
“Did he find another place to sleep?”
「彼は眠るための別の場所を見つけたのかな？」
“Oh hey guys!
「やあ、みんな！
Did you all just wake up?
みんな目覚めたかい？
spring is already here.”
春はすでにやってきた」
So, the little friends joined Mr. Bear in his celebration smelling and enjoying the fresh scents of spring!
それで、小さな友達は一緒になってクマさんのもとへ春の新しいにおいを感じて、楽しむお祝いに来たの。
